Wedding Trends of 2019 You Need To Know!

In 2018, we witnessed two epic celebrity weddings: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. Here at FTK~ Konnect we also planned and executed some epic weddings in 2018. So as we look at 2019 we want to highlight some of the biggest wedding trends you need to know!

Pantone Color of the Year: Living Coral

Incorporating the Pantone color of the year into your wedding is very on trend at the moment. For the bold bride who is ready to embrace the “sociable and spirited”, Pantone 16-1546 Living Coral is just the color for you! We’re going to have an entire blog post dedicated to how you can incorporate this vibrant hue into your wedding day so stay tuned for that!

Grandiose Wedding Cakes

The 2018 royal wedding will inspire more opulent and extravagant cakes in 2019. We will see more impressive creations with metallic touches and personalized monograms as more couples seek to incorporate their personal style into their amazing day!

Eco-conscious Weddings

As minimalism has its moment, smart sustainability will also be a top theme for weddings in 2019. Couples are finding interesting ways of achieving eco weddings that are still lush. This can be done by moving flowers from the ceremony to the reception, making the food part of the design and opting for invitations that are made from paper with high-recycled content or alternative fibers like hemp or bamboo.

Scentscaping

This aromatic trend will gain massive popularity in 2019 as couples seek to personalize their special day even more. Scentscaping can create a specific mood or atmosphere, and conjure up amazing memories for couples and wedding guests. Candles are an obvious choice for setting the mood but you can also employ fragrant flowers, oil diffusers or ambiance mists. We’re also going to do a dedicated post on this topic so look out for that!

Lucite Details

This great decor trend can really set the tone to your wedding. It is very versatile as it can be used in many different themes from modern romance to glam and even minimalist chic. Lucite can be incorporated into so many accents in your wedding and reception, and can even be dyed or painted to give that customized edge.
